Motorsports Events:
Road Course: Taking place on Friday, this event allows you to take your own vehicle on the road course and test your driving skills. There will be 3 run groups. Beginner drivers will have a mandatory driving instructor and passing will not be allowed in the 1st session. Sessions later in the day will allow point-by passing on the main straight. Intermediate drivers will have optional driving instructors, and point-by passing will be allowed during all sessions on the 3 designated straights. Advanced/Instructor drivers will have the opportunity to instruct in any class. They will also be allowed point-by passing anywhere on the track. Cost of this event is $125.
Drag: Taking place Friday evening, this event allows you to battle another car one on one down a 1/8 mile drag strip.The event will not be limited to Nissan Convention attendees, so you may find yourself in a battle against some of the locals.The event will be free to any Nissan Convention attendees who are participating in another motorsports event, so no pre-registration for this event is required.
Drift: Taking place on Saturday, this event allows you test your skills at controlling your car sideways. 20 minute drift sessions will be spread out between the lapping sessions all day Saturday. This will be a a free run around the track to practice you sliding skills. Cost of this event is $50.
Rally: Taking place Friday and Saturday, this event allows you to test your skills getting dirty. Navigate your vehicle through a tricky dirt course and see how your time stacks up against others. Cost of this event is $50 for the weekend.
Car Show: The car show will take place on Sunday. Anyone who has registerred for any motorsports event (excluding drag racing) will be allowed to enter the car show at no extra cost. If you chose not to participate in any motorsports events, don’t worry. For just $15, you can register for just the car show. Awards will be given Sunday afternoon and will be voted on by fellow car show entrants. With other enthusiasts judging the cars, you never know who’s car will win an award. It’s not necessarily the looks that always impress!
Picnic: The picnic will also take place on Sunday. Spend an hour or so checking out the cars in the car show, and then sit down for a good catered lunch.$15 will get you a meal ticket, and feel free to stuff yourself while you chat with other attendees.
Raffle and Awards: The raffle and awards will take place after everyone has grabbed a plate of food and all votes are in for the car show.There will be a variety of awards from best of show, to longest drive, and many raffle prizes from t-shirts to car parts.Check out the Sponsors tab at the top of this page to see what companies are contributing!Raffle tickets will be $3 each, 20 for $50, or 50 for $100.If you want to buy more once you’re there, no problem.We’ll be selling them right up until the minute we start drawing them.No need to be present to win, so if you can’t make the convention but want to buy raffle tickets, you can!
T-shirts: Convention t-shirts will be designed and made exclusively for this event. Available in sizes SM-XL at $15 each, 2X for $16, 3X for $17, and 4X for $18. Make sure to order yours now because we can’t guarantee we’ll have extras for sale at the event!
Spectators: Don’t want to register for any events, but just want to come and hang out and watch? Spectator-only tickets are available for $5.This gives you access to the event all weekend to watch and have fun.Kids 12 & under are free.
